Nkem Nweke has over 15 years of dynamic involvement in the technology sector and is an advocate for innovation, with expertise in problem framing, design sprints, and product development. His drive to redefine narratives stems from his dedication to unravel local challenges and crafting solutions with global impact.
Having held diverse roles in both business and technical capacities at renowned organizations such as Hewlett Packard, Dimension Data and recently Microsoft where for almost 10 years, he crossed consulting, sales, strategy and innovation roles with the African Development Centre, collaborating with industry leaders and engineering communities across Africa to identify unique use cases to morph into global products with a focus to fostering technology innovation among local ecosystem, partners and the enterprise.
With a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute, as well as certifications in innovation and product management, Nkem earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and an MBA in Business Administration/Projects from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Nkem is passionate about unlocking Africa's vast tech talent potential and with a wealth of experience from his previous leadership roles, he currently supports the Lagos Business School's Tech Leap Initiative, while also working with organizations as well as investors exploring expansion opportunities in Kenya, Ghana, Namibia, Angola and Eswatini, helping them evaluate potential investments and guiding their portfolio companies and founders towards success. Nkem leverages his expertise as an advisor to startups and scaleups while also curating bespoke services to support strategic business growth & high-performance teams.
